Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the bankstatement.ai website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by bankstatement.ai ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, subscribing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

bankstatement.ai helps you upload bank statements in PDF, CSV, or XLSX format and receive clean spreadsheets and company billing links. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with monthly page allowances, and also offers a limited anonymous trial without an account.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Current plans include Starter ($9/month for up to 100 pages per billing period) and Pro ($99/month for up to 2,000 pages per billing period). One page generally corresponds to one page of a PDF or an equivalent unit for CSV/XLSX uploads, as shown before processing begins.

Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel or update payment details through the subscription management portal linked from your account. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change plan pricing or limits with reasonable notice; changes apply on your next renewal after notice.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content you do not have the right to process;
• Use the Service to violate law, infringe rights, or transmit malware;
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, security controls, or rate limits;
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service except as expressly permitted;
• Use automated means to create accounts or submit abusive volumes of requests.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations or conduct that risks the Service, other users, or third parties.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of statements and other files you upload. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transform that content solely to provide the Service, including generating exports and temporary results. Our data retention practices are described in our No Data Retention page and Privacy Policy.

6. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT EXTRACTION, COMPANY MATCHING, OR EXPORT RESULTS WILL BE COMPLETE, ACCURATE, OR SUITABLE FOR ACCOUNTING, TAX, LEGAL, OR COMPLIANCE PURPOSES. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING OUTPUT BEFORE RELYING ON IT.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

8. Changes and termination

We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance. You may stop using the Service at any time; we may terminate or suspend the Service or your account as described above.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
